The book I am talking about is The China Study, by Dr. T. Colin
Campbell, PhD and Thomas M. Campbell II.

The full title says a lot about the book: The China Study – The Most Comprehensive
Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications
for Diet, Weight Loss, and Long-Term Health.

By studying the patterns of associations for different dietary,
lifestyle, and incidence of disease in 6,500 adults and their
families, across 130 villages, in 65 counties in China.

People who ate THE MOST ANIMAL-BASED FOODS GOT THE MOST CHRONIC diseases. Even relatively small intakes of animal-based foods were
associated with adverse effects.

People who ate THE MOST PLANT-BASED FOODS WERE THE HEALTHIEST and tended to avoid chronic disease.

    Hi Vadim,

    The China Study certainly convinced me that there is more than just a correlation between the way we eat in the affluent Western countries and the proliferation of diseases.

    Shall we say it’s more cause and effect?

    Diseases of affluence is what he called our major illnesses: cancer, diabetes, cardio diseases, etc.
