Hippocrates Health Institute: Antony Chatham Part 7

by Hippocrates Health Educator

Hippocrates Health Institute Antony Chatham: this is part 7 of a live call where I intereviewed him with questions submitted by you the listener.

So far in parts 1 – 6 of the interview with Hippocrates Health Institute psychologist Antony, we’ve covered a wide array of questions.

For those who have been following the monthly expert calls we do, you may have heard Brian Clement give his reasons for opening the Hippocrates Center rather than just becoming a public speaker and author.

He explained that it is essential that we get people out of the sick world that we consider to be normal, treat them and love them onsite for 3 weeks. Yes, you can learn a lot through your own study, but when you’ve experienced a better way to live and you are getting help in so many areas: electromagnetic therapy, massage, colonics, counseling sessions – all while eating the healthiest food on the planet and juices 3 times a day + wheatgrass 2 times a day.

I wanted to hear from Antony his perspective so I asked him:

Why is the Hippocrates program so crucial for someone looking to heal?

He answered from the perspective of the many guests who have done various programs and shared with him that the Hippocrates Institute program is much more comprehensive because it is addressing many levels. While you are looking at some radical changes in your life, this is also the attraction.

Rather than a narrow focus like some places that focus on juice fasting, Hippocrates Center employs so many healing modalities addressing many levels.

Isn’t it also the benefit of going and being immersed in the lifestyle and at the same time unplugged from the normal stresses? It seems we are back to talking about managing stress.

That is true. Stress is a crucial part and it involves all these areas. The more we can release ourselves from, the more beneficial I believe it will be. That is why it is good to have a program where many areas are covered at one time instead of just a narrow focus.

Do you recommend hypnosis, a listener shares that she doesn’t end up following what she reads in self-help books and wonders if she needs to reprogram herself?

Don’t we all need to reprogram…

So many things we’ve been taught by local or cultural conditioning that are not in our best interests. I would say that hypnosis is desirable, but will not magically change your mind. You will always need a collaboration: use the power of the subconscious mind and take conscious action.

We get knowledge from books, but what we need is motivation and commitment.

And sometimes it’s good to work with a professional. Intellectually you may recognize certain bad habits. But breaking the habit is hard because emotionally you keep doing it.

To further you in breaking the habit of addictions for example, you want to use any means to bypass the tendency toward doing the bad habits. I find it very useful to do this with a combination of regression therapy and EMDR therapy.

Listen to Antony and please leave us a comment.
