Probiotics with Antibiotics?

by Hippocrates Health Educator

Maria also wants to ask is it good to take probiotics while taking antibiotics?

Brian: Well certainly. Antibiotics – even the worst person I know in nutritional science would tell you that it kills good prebiotics and probiotics, so taking them during the time is helpful to hold back the amount of good bacteria that are dying. But really when you need it more than any other time, I would up it for about 2 weeks to a month after you stop the antibiotics. During the time you take some, get really serious about it right when you stop it because for 2 weeks, 21 days, 30 days after that – uploading a ton of probiotics would be a healthy thing for you.

Probiotics are so amazing and I have seen how incredible they can work for our bodies through what the Belly Boost chewables have done for our little boy. We felt so confused and upset that we could not find anything or anyone to help our son with his food allergies, intolerances and severe eczema. Once we started giving the chewables to our little guy though – his skin began to clear right up. It was truly amazing! We are believers and we it really does make sense when you think about antibiotics too!
