Claudia submitted a question on spleen removal, living after a splenectomy that is close to my heart. A couple of months ago I was in an auto accident and they were thinking they would have to do a spleen removal on me as it was lacerated and bleeding internally. Fortunately, they didn’t have to.
Claudia wanted to know what would you recommend to someone with no spleen?
Dr. Brian Clement from Hippocrates Health Institute: Spleens, as you may know,
have a lot to do with developing leukocytes – blood cells in the body. So in the case of a spleen removal, thank God nature knows how to help you.
Ideally you have a spleen, but if you don’t have a spleen, other parts of your body take up the slack. In the case of leuckocyte activity, white blood cell activity, the soldiers of the immune system not being as widely available as they would be when you have a spleen:
• you’ve got to really be sure that you avoid any potential infections.
• you want to make sure you go well out of your way to eat impeccably, take supplementations that increases immunity.
Make sure you don’t have a requirement for large amount of leukocytes.
The cleaner you eat and the more you exercise and perspire from aerobic exercise, the better it is. Because the bloodstream being like a pristine river in a perfect scenario, if it remains pristine you don‘t have a requirement for the vacuum cleaner, the leukocytes to go around and clean up as much.
So you have more white cells sitting on the sideline when some real infection comes in at that point. So clean, with lots of perspiration, bringing lots of waste out of the body, taking the waste out of the bloodstream, as well as making sure you heat the body up and kill off microbes.
Exercise has a triple effect:
• The first is mental that no one speaks about. Endorphin activity occurs in the human brain, so people are much much happier when they do consistent aerobic exercise. The minimum must be 35 minutes 5 days a week. Ideally 6 days a week for an hour, and that makes happy heads.
• 2 is the detoxification aspect that I just talked about with you.
• 3 the kill off of disorders. We even know that cancer cells die – all of us have cancer cells in our body – when you heat the body up only one degree.
