I wanted to add that since you need an answer soon, you may want to schedule a consult with Dr. Clement. When you call Hippocrates Institute, you ask for his office and talk to his assistant. He charges for the consult, but it will be applied toward your stay when you decide to go.

I’m sorry that I cannot give you an answer to your question. I have not run across this before, and was not aware of the calcium hydroxide option. I can ask your question to Dr. Clement the next time we interview him.

I found your website while researching the Hippocrates Institute and I am so grateful for the wealth of information you provide. I will certainly use you as a referral when I am able to attend the institute. I have a question which I am willing to pay a consult fee. I currently have an infected root canal and have been advised to have it redone. In researching the internet, I found a post from someone who had consulted with Dr. Clements in 2007 and she states he said he had just spent 2 years researching root canals and that treating the tooth for at least one month with calcium hydroxide before completing the root canal was a viable option. Have you heard his latest information concerning root canals? I have to make my decision soon so I am attempting to get the latest accurate information possible.
