Nutritional supplements must come from whole foods. Brian Clement, Director of the Hippocrates Health Institute, discusses the effect of synthetic supplements on the immune system (and they don’t come with a diet supplement warning).
Starting with vitamin supplements: you would think these and other dietary supplements would at least not be harmful. We’ve been told that at worst it will just go through the body and not add value.
But are some nutritional supplements actually harmful? Dr. Clement discusses the following ones:
Vitamin C—98% on the market is a chemical called ascorbic acid—highly dangerous for you.
Vitamin A—beta carotene—Look at the study that was conducted at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston—on lung cancer…
Look at the finished study on antioxidants—the other sexy word they threw out for you. People who took antioxidants had a 64% higher incidence of cancer than people who did not take nutritional supplements.
You don’t hear about these studies. You hear the rah-rahs from the pharmaceutically-driven companies.
